Slow Cooker Sunday has arrived again!
8 to 10 oz beef steak or roast
1 medium diced onion
1 to 2 cups of chopped fresh broccoli or thawed frozen broccoli
2 cups washed and halved fresh white mushrooms
32 oz of chicken broth (or bone broth)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon of butter
1/2 to 1 cup of sour cream
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (optional- this helps break down the meat and add additional health benefits)
Salt and pepper to taste
Add all the ingredients except the sour cream into the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
After cooking time is completed shred the beef with a fork.
Slowly add the sour cream up to 1 cup until desired thickness is achieved.
Serves 5 to 6
